We’re thrilled to announce these changes in Missions Mosaic coming in the September issue:
• Articles are grouped into sections: community, world, life, heart & soul, in every issue, on our cover, and SHADES OF REaD.
• community: The Ministry/Witness article gets a new name: Go and Do. It will become a one-page article of bite-sized takeaways as either ministry or witnessing tips. The Women on Mission pages are called: Missions and Ministry. You’ll still see the same kind of mission action tips, projects, and testimonies to which you’ve grown accustomed.
• world: Panorama of Service expands to four pages: 1 ½ pages to both the North American Mission Board and the International Mission Board and one page to Woman's Missionary Union® (WMU®) ministries. The new name for these articles is Global Partners. Missionary Focus retains its’ name and focus.
• on our cover: The cover story was once called In the Spotlight and now it will be termed on our cover.
• life: Life Stages, LifeChats, and LifeStories join LifeMatters to round out this new segment of our magazine. LifeStages is designed to empower women to identify and understand the various stages of a woman’s life and how to minister specifically to her. LifeChats is a conversation between a younger and an older woman providing a generational connection for missional hearts. LifeStories are YOUR stories—missional stories submitted by readers like you.
• SHADES OF REaD: You’ll continue to find your monthly book club picks here along with invigorating ideas for fun, interesting meetings.
• heart & soul: We haven’t tampered with this section; you’ll continue to find your Bible study and prayer articles along with the beloved Prayer Patterns.
• in every issue: We have some new article title changes (but the focus of the articles stays the same) to share: Your Thoughts becomes Sound Off: Letters from You; Help for Leaders becomes Leaders’ Corner.
• Missionary Sidebars find a new home on the Web right here and become Missionary Snapshots. You’ll continue to find three each month.
Leader Helps and Handouts becomes Women on Mission Planner.
You’re going to like the changes you’ll see here for your meeting plans. The Planner uses a similar layout as the Children in Action® Leader. You’ll find it in a simple, easy to use format for planning at a glance. Inside are more leader articles complete with fun ideas for room décor and refreshments. Handouts are replaced with a monthly publicity flyer. Included are meeting plans for Bible study, prayer, and missionary focus articles. Every facilitator/leader of each Women on Mission® group needs her personal copy of the Planner. And if you wish, you still will have the option of using the Women on Mission Resource Kit, which includes the Women on Mission Planner along with colorful posters and the quarterly Celebration Experience.
We hope you’ll like the new changes as much as we do!
